Restaurants in Kuta-Legian, Bali

The popular holiday areas of Kuta, Tuban (south Kuta) and Legian front a gentle curve of coastline just north of the airport. Kuta Beach is a former fishing village and one of the first towns on Bali to hosts western tourists. These beaches are among the most beautiful in Bali, famous for great waves, sunsets, and night life.

Kuta and Legian hosts many good restaurants with good mid range prices. Most of these restaurants are on Jalan Legian which is the main drag between Kuta and Legian beach. For those of you who like the night life there is plenty of it here. You just have to ask around for the latest hot spot.

OUR PREFERRED Restaurants in Kuta and Legian Beach:

• Sang Ria Bar and Grill -delivers the Islands best Ribs while providing a very relaxed old Bali feel. Their salads and appetizers are also a must. • Macaroni Club -an oasis in the middle of the desert. It offers a very sexy sophisticated vibe with great Italian food. They are also know for their wine list, art and cocktails. • Poppies - I have been going to Poppies for 35 years. This place still has a great fun atmosphere in a beautiful setting and the food is great. One of my favorites.



• Kopi Pot - Kopi means coffee in Indonesian. They also have Indonesian and international cuisine. The restaurant has beautiful gardens underneath grass-rooted pavilions. Visit their Lone Palm Bar, with a bird's eye view of life on one of Kuta's Jalan Raya



• Made's Warung - This restaurant opened in 1969 and I have been dining here since 1974. It quickly developed into the place to dine for expats and tourists alike. Since 1974 I have seen it grow from a small roadside warung into a modern restaurant with a menu full of Indonesian, Japanese and Western delights. They now have expanded and have a bigger restaurant and also delicious Thai food. I also like their other branch in Seminyak.



• Mozzarella Restaurant and Bar - Legian, Not just Italian but Indonesian classic dishes. Mozzarella has great ambience, service, food and value that are unmatched anywhere in Legian.



• Sailfin - offers the most prestigious fine dining experience in Kuta Beach. Indulge in our titillating array of fine cuisine set in contemporary luxe ambience. Enjoy the romantic beach front setting, rich interiors and excellent sunset.
